Sorry I sloped off without helping with your erection, I was a bit worried about the ride home (borrowed bike so no breakdown cover, combined with an apparent slow puncture in the chair wheel) and I was running an hour and a half behind the schedule I'd posted with the controller (SWMBO).
Having said that, I got home at 6.00 and she seemed happy enough. Then she said "you look like crap". I had one reply, "Absinthe".
What a great event Steve, well flipping done.
I set off at 6.30 Saturday morning. I saw the sun starting to show itself as I passed the Malvern hills and I rode in unbroken sunshine from then on until I got to Lancaster... after that it pissed down

I got to the site in Dent around lunchtime, wet and stressed. However, the marquee was up and the kettle was on. Lots of old faces to greet, lots of new faces to meet, lots of 'piddle in the dark (4.7%)' to drink... and some absinthe courtesy of the Antrim crowd.
Breakfast in the farmhouse on Sunday was magnificent and the ride home (worries aside) went well.
I had a fantastic time Steve, thanks for everything, especially that GS-baiting ride on your new Ténéré, what a nice bike.
Cheers
