Meet at West Hay near Glastonbury 11th 12th 13th April for a short weekend break. Meet up with Rick and do the cider farm. Cheap camping, local pub and shop, shower etc.
Ride over to Sammy Miller museum.
If I'm not working I'll be away on my bike camping!

Pat & I will try and make it. We did some of that area last year, stopping on an old cider farm near Taunton.

If the race bike doesn't make it on time (and sadly that seems very likely) I will try and make this one as well!

Ah!, just like the good old days - Thumper Club do's almost every other weekend. Excellent!!!!!

'Scuse my ignorance, I can find Glastonbury on the map but not West Hay. Is this meet still on and can you give directions to find the camp site?

Yes the meet is still on, or it better be as I will be coming down on the Friday 11th to Westhay (sorry for the spelling mistake). It is just down the road from Meare, which is in itself North West of Glastonbury. The village itself is only small and the campsite is clearly visible from the road. I will be taking my white Transit down with my little silver SRX in the back, makes taking lots of comfortable camping bits and bobs that much easier and its quite a long ride from up here in costa del Huddersfield! I'll take some chairs and a small gazebo and a small charcoal burner for the evening.

Still hoping someone at work will take Friday and Saturday nights' shifts off me, but it's not looking too good. Got another option to try but the leave allocation is fully-booked. Will let you know by Tuesday, but like I said it's down to the wire now.

Can't make this one I'm afraid folks, it was a long shot but asking somebody to cover a weekend night shift (x2) is a bit of a non-starter nowadays. Have a great weekend.

I was all set for this weekend and then Mrs Onepot informed me that I had 'volunteered' to lay a concrete base for a playhouse at my son's playgroup. So that's this weekend ruined  >:(

I did make the point that although I thought she was quite handy in the sack, I didn't offer her services to strange blokes, so could she not do the same for me. She sulked.
