Dragon invitation

I will be serving tea and cucumber sandwiches at 3.30 (weather permitting) on the lawn outside my tent. All welcome, but if you could bring your own bone china cup then that would help.

Also, Metcalf old chap, I propose cocktails at 6.00, I thought your luggage rack minibar would be a suitable venue, I'll bring the gin. Dress smart casual?

Smoking jackets again old boy?

I'll ask my man to pack mine just in case.

Dashed Chinese laindry seems to have made off with the old cap, but we'll do our best.

Sorry guys, there won't be any left over  :'(

I am however making preparations to supply some nibbles to go with the cocktails. The hat and pipe are already packed  ;D

Have fun at the Dragon, Chaps.
Hope the weather stays reasonable for you. It's been irritatingly windy in North Wales over the past couple of weeks but seems to have died down over the last couple of days. It's a bit overcast so you may get some rain, but it's pretty warm.

I'll be at home decorating. :(

What a fantastic Dragon! Great to see everyone and thanks for all the free beer etc.

Trip home was uneventful although the fog on the North Wales Coast and Cheshire was a bit nasty in places.

Don't thank us Andy, your efforts were greatly appreciated by all (he brought champagne and cigars for goodness sake).

What a blinder of a rally.

Andy

What free beer? GC went to great length to let me know it wasn't "a free for all". I guess my reputation must have proceeded me :-\

All the same it was by far the best Dragon I have had!

The beer barrel was my brother's idea and he was dead worried that we'd end up giving so much away that he would end up out of pocket.

In the end, we gave too much away and he ended up out of pocket  ::)

But he's chill about it. Like he said to me last night, it wasn't about trying to get the costs down, it was more about trying something new.
