Rob G and I kicked around a few ideas, the first one was WW1 flying aces, but because so many people said "what do they look like?" we realised it was a bad choice. The 70s theme was chosen as our plan B, but take up is poor so imho it's a no-go.

Spoke to Steve D on't phone last night and he's not keen either.

Flying ace idea is easy for us sidecarists who've got fold up gear for unexpected passengers. Swedish/ Russian tank helmets and goggles run to about £35, the rest is just bike gear. Not so easy for the solo-ists who have no other use for it.

How about a simple repeat of last year? It's out of pure self interest as my smoking cap still only gets used in the house (didn't get out of Yorkshire last Feb  )
