mastiff

Well I got the 49k mileage MZ Mastiff as previously mentioned in chatter section.

Despite looking like a complete shed it got me 50 miles home with ease.  The forks are leaking. Any thoughts on this, is it a common issue, should I be looking at new bushes as well as seals and are they likely to be these?

The bike is 2001. many thanks
Julian.

Hi Julian,
Hope you have as much fun with yours as I've had with mine!  8)
I can't help with the forks I'm afraid as I haven't had mine apart(!) but many thanks for the link for the manual, any more bits of manual you can find....?  ;)
Mine is a 2002 model and I got it at about 3,500 miles and it is now over 35,000  ::)
I've put Bridgestones on as most tyres don't seem to last long on it, they seem to be the best of the bunch so far. My forks are pitted as well and the finish on the fork lowers is knackered, touch wood they're keeping the oil in though...
Let me know how you get on.
Smudge  :)

Cheers Smudge,
As yet I haven't had chance to look. I'll let you know how I get on.
