My new mission

Absolutely fed up with the 'mess' that is my shed, so this weekend it is having a drastic re-fit Before I start, I thought I'd post some 'before' piccies to illustrate the chaos I'm dealing with

Here goes







Plan so far is to get rid of/condense all the shelving on the RHS so it fits on the back wall, and trim down the work bench so it isn't a spralling mess across the whole LHS wall!
Wish me luck, I'm going in at dawn with my elite clean up crew AKA sons Mat & Lewi

I wish mine was as messy as yours! At least it looks like you can take more than one pace without tripping over a bike or box. I have to take the newly bought DR750 (Rat/Shed!!) out before I can get to the bench and then avoid all the others lying about, never mind find anything. I must buy another shed to put it all away in, then I'll have more space to fill with junk! Good luck with the refit.

Still a tad overcrowded for my liking, but that's probably down to the wife/kids bikes. I know, I know I'm a wee bit over zealous on the 'organising' things front, but I'm made that way and you can't fight your nature Next jobbie is a wood burning stove and a winter party I'll keep you lot informed.

How you have your cowp is your business, but like all the other commentators, my thoughts are that the initial batch portray work in progress. Nae worries!

The second set of images, whilst being a credit to yoursel' and the loons, worry me.

Home & Gardens themed pictures with gossamer lighting and 'soft focus'!
I note you don't have the pink filter on for the 'rose tinted spectacle' effect.

Just be very careful who you invite to the garage warming party with a woodburner installed, there could be grease stains from the frying pan on the new wallpaper and 'nasty stains' of the type that Maggie T doesn't approve!

'es moved the crimp lid remover to somewhere invisible!

Is a workshop no longer a workshop when the saw bench, snorter and pillar dril are invisible?    More a boudoir! 

Those saw 'horses' stick out at the end of the bench Pat, you'll trip over them getting to the bench. Stick them up on the wall on 6" nails the same as the 'Playmate', then you'll be able to stretch the moggies tail another couple of thou!

The pillar drill wasn't a drill, but a morticer and it's still there :)Table saw was binned cos it didn't work anyway and was obsolete thanks to the crosscutter. As for the soft focus, I really don't have a clue Used my phone camera and I think the lens got some condensation in it when I was humping crap to the tip
Sort of thought this was a little bit me and not in keeping with general club standards, but as most of my 'fiddles' are garden gates/garage doors the extra width I now have (with the bikes moved out) is invaluable Plus there really is nothing better than an alphabetically ordered row of tins of paint

Alphabetical- by colour or manufacturer? Are thry then sorted by type and then by remaining volume.

Oh I try to keep my paint tins upside down - then any skin that forms forms on the bottom.  Mind you can never tell how much paint is in them and it is worrying whn the membrane breaks and all your paint drains away under the skin.

I too love the soft focus effect - I achieve life in this manner - greasy fingers on the spex
