I finally thought I'd got it sorted this weekend ,One week to late for the annual rally what a surprise.
Anyway I took it for a MOT today ,Half way there I had to take on some water as the large cloud of steam I was leaving behind me suggested and smelt like I was losing coolant.
The radiator was about half full but I couldn't find any leeks.
So I continued to the MOT station ,Arriving in a large cloud of steam smelling of coolant .
I was greeted with " You ain't bringing that in here " after a short chat I left feeling totally p***ed off. Radiator was still full.
I Very nearly kicked it before leaving for home ,after all it's only taken 9 months to get it this far.
Just after leaving the MOT station the temperature warning light came on ( the fans worked fine yesterday ) then the rev counter started leaping all over the place closely followed by what sounded like a turbo charged milk float sound coming from the gearbox mainly in fourth and fifth gear other than that and couple of minor oil leaks it ran fine all the way back home.
Now for the questions .
Is it time to give up / turn it into spares ?
Would insurers consider it a modification if I fitted all the Traveller parts to a Sport ? Model isn't specified on the V5C's
Has anyone tried one of these pullers instead of the £130+ Yamaha one ?
