A different tracker frame question?.
« on: June 02, 2025, 11:08:35 AM »
Hopefully someone out there in TC can help me sort out a problem I’m having with a frame I’ve got.
I only have a frame number to hand, no reg number. Does anyone know of a way to find out if/when. The bike/frame was registered, or find out what the actual reg number was just from the frame number?.
Any advice would be most appreciated
Cheers, Michael

The Honda Owners Club may have that info, although I suspect the original number will have been lost. Or you could re-register with an age-related number. If you go that way you need to have a more or less complete bike with engine and frame number relating to a similar year/ model. Again, the owners club - or maybe the VJMC - may be able to help.

I did this last year for my Tri-Greeves which I assembled as a Greeves, got the riders' association chap to validate it then sent off all the suff to DVLA. It was fairly straightforward. And of course if your frame is pre-1984 or so then it will be free road tax and no MoT required.

Many thanks for the info Ian. I’ll try the Honda owners club first, see if they can turn anything up🤞
I’ve taken a punt on an engine off fleabay 🤞🤞
So once that arrives I will have an engine and frame number, so as a last resort I can go down the route and try, as you’ve suggested to re- registering it 🤞
