The end of a longer era....
« on: July 04, 2024, 11:59:21 AM »
The new owner of my Norton ES2 rode off into the sunset with it yesterday. A very nice chap, gave me a reasonable price so I hope he enjoys the bike. He's new to British machines so has a bit of a learning curve although he did manage to start it twice so I'm sure he'll be OK. And only a mile away if all else fails.

Of course I am neither thumper-less nor Norton-less having the BSA-Suzuki (Bouzouki?) and the Electra to play with. And I think (dangerous words) I may have the little Yam sorted.

Just had this email from the ES2 buyer:

Hi Ian

I really really enjoyed my little ride on it, exactly what i wanted.

I was reading the booklet last night and coincidentally the registration is on my Birthday!

Perhaps meant to be.

Fingers crossword the sun shines on the weekend and a little ride out is in order.

Thanks for everything really happy.

What a lovely story Ian, it is so nice when a bike you have enjoyed passes to someone who will continue to enjoy it.

Glad you seem to have the Yam sorted, let's hope that's the case. As for the Bouzouki I feel there is a nickname that will stick!
