Engineering services
« on: March 08, 2023, 10:50:34 AM »
I've been trying for days to get the seized plugs out of my Triumph 350 head. no success despite soaking in plusgas, heat and excessive force (and various choice oaths). So I decided to let a professional deal with it.

I used a bloks called Simon at Nametab Engineering in Redditch. I took the head there yesterday and picked it up this morning - both plugs out and a helicoil in one which had lost part of the threads with the plug. Total cost? £30. I'd havce thought at least twice that. Well worth remembering for people in the Midlands. He does specialise in 2 strokes but don't hold that against him.

I know you're  an old hand at this mechanics malarkey,  but just to check/clarify, it was the head you soaked in the plusgas and not yourself? I mean, we all make basic errors from time to time.
