Trying to join VJMC
« on: November 29, 2022, 09:53:19 AM »
Hi all

I thought I would join the VJMC as I am sadly lacking in motorcycle friends who go anywhere or do anything now. My two regular bike pals seem less inclined to ride anywhere these days and more inclined to go for breakfast in a car. Not for me I'm afraid, I want places to go to meet other like-minded bike riders not just bike owners.

So I tried to join the VJMC online, after all the Mighty Midget is twice the age it needs to be to qualify for membership. I filled out the forms and then when I went to submit the forms kept coming back as though I had answered a question wrong, which is odd as I know my first name is definitely Ian. Eventually the forms disappeared altogether.

My question is did I do something wrong or does anyone know if they are having computer issues over at the VJMC? I will keep trying as I need friends (altogether now ahhhhhh) cos biking is getting boring again. I can't do modern, British is mostly about polishing (sorry Ian S), I am sick of people saying the 'riding season' is over etc. Not a rant, just the winter blues I guess.

Anyway must stop wasting time and go and burn some more expensive petrol just because it's there.

Spartacian the lonely.

I wouldn't want to join any club that would have me as a member.

I love Groucho Marx!

Thanks Rufus, I had a very nice email from the VJMC Admin Officer, Julie Showering, letting me know what to do and think I am now a fully paid up member. It is so nice in these days of superficial customer care to actually get some real, honest-to-goodness service.

Now I just have to find new friends to play with.
