Thank you for posting that it was an incredible story and the old Puch looks just how a bike should look! What saddens me is that such a journey these days wouldn't be possible I suspect because of all of the disputed countries one would have to travel through.

It is a great reminder of what most people I have met in Thumper Club seem to know and that is you don't need a boat load of cash and a multi-thousands of pounds bike to have a real adventure.

I've read Reisch's book and apart from his somewhat fascistic attitudes - maybe not surprising from an Austrian at the time - it's an interesting read.
