What the hell has fitting a non standard K&N filter got to do with the removal of the original oil tank.
Clearly someone who knows very little about XBR’s 🤦

Like you, I'm calling BS on that one. When I received  that reply, I knew my enquiry was doomed!

Actually, in his first reply, he said;

The swingarm may have been made by JML to fit an xbr, I don't think it's been taken from another bike.

Surely that should  be JMC? Anyway, I persisted in case he was in touch with the previous owner who might have known which bike it was made for.
