Martin.. the rs250 was a waaaay better bike than the wet dreams. They were simply to heavy for a 250. They were never meant to be a 250 though, or so I understand. They were designed as the 400 mainly for the Japanese home market. The 400 was a completely different bike to ride. I knew a couple of lads at the time which had one of each. My RS250 used to beat my mates wet dream in every department, speed, handling and IMVHO looks but then again I did have the very snazzy little cop pit fairing that Honda sold for it... cool as 😉😉👍

Yes Michael-the RS is about half the weight of the CB 250N as I'm sure you know!

Living the (wet) dream! In fact, I sold my smaller 125 dream to get it...Loved it at the time, but know a bit more about bikes now!

🤣🤣🤣.... absolutely loving the man at C&A pose you’ve got going on there Matt. Cool as they come I say. Bet the birds were flocking around you in droves eh. Unlike yours truly who only had an RS250. Oh but little did they know. 🤣😉🤘

Try pulling birds on a 125 CZ. Now that took charisma. Shame I didn't have any.

Ahhh, but I knew the chicks loved a bit of luxury, so you connersewers will no doubt notice I was sporting the DBX version - yes, the deluxe. That photo was indeed me waiting for the innevitable swarm of females, that mysteriously never appeared....😂

Yes the DBX version IIRC had a special set of  Comstar "wheels" and just an  electric start.I think it could also have had go faster stripes as well? I'm surprised you weren't more successful on the "pull" with your special wheels though? I was never confident to be any good on the "pull" myself either though whatever my wheels were.

WELL.. I only had a pair of poxy spoked wheels on my rs250. Oh and NO it wasn’t the rs250 deluxe model just the poor mans standard kickstart only model. However I could scrape that centre stand and have the sparks a flying around any given roundabout. So clearly that meant that the female of the species came a flocking simply at my cornering prowess 🤣🤣.
