Note that it has already been rejected by the EU. Another brexit bonus!

There is an online consultation response that can be completed.

As for the”brexit bonus” - It was the EU that started this ball rolling, though initially rejected.

More here. It seems the driverless vehicles need to know what we are riding...

The "consultation" is a joke and there is no real way to object to this specific aspect. Most of the proposal relates to autonomous / self driving vehicles and much seems sensible however this OEM bit seems to have been slipped in.

Sorry but I am going to anger some people when I say I am sick of MCN. It's nothing more than a two-wheel version of the Daily Mail. Rant, shout, fury, outrage, they're out to get us etc.

I am also sick of a lot of modern motorcyclists. Over-loud, ride like fucking idiots and think being a 'hard-man' is a motorcyclists right. I went to my local garage the other day and there were a group of bikes parked in the yellow-hatched area in front of the doors making it hard for everyone to get in. Why? They didn't say a lot though when I called them dickheads, yes proper hard-men!

Come on accept that motorcyclists have brought on themselves any punitive legislation that comes our way and let MCN become paper for fish and chips.

Told you I'd make people angry.

An unrepentant Spartacus.

Same problem up here and I prefer to use the NZ term for these people. happy to use in 'Rants', but not here.

Good health, Bill

You don't make me angry S. Round here (Redditch) there is a constant howl of inadequately silenced bikes racing up and down the (almost all 40 mph or less) roads. The cops occasionally put a camera van on one but (a) at the wrong times and (b) everyone knows where it is. I'd be happy to see the lot of them lose their licences. Although this may be the intolerance of age speaking......

one assumes this legislation (should it reach that stage) will equally apply to the boy racer wa*kers in their 'hot' hatches with lowered suspension, wide wheels on spacers (guaranteed to shag your wheel bearings uber quick) excessive negative camber ( bu55ers up road holding, steering etc) loud/zero silencing (ruins what little performance they had) .... just saying ...
