Lucky Seller
« on: June 30, 2020, 12:02:33 PM »
This XBR sporting 8500 miles is flying on the auction site at £2600 with a couple of days to go:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-XBR500-Original-low-mileage/324210573187?hash=item4b7c74bf83:g:lyQAAOSwIiVe9gyD

If it's a Thumper member selling, I hope it flies higher!

Now, where's my V5 for mine?
Regards, Clive.

AND it only had one mirror
AND it wasn't even an original mirror

I did wonder why it had new brake shoes & pads at such low miles though.

The featured XBR that hail from near Donnington Park that I started this thread with was sold at £3260. It has now re-appeared on eBay hailing from Lancashire (different seller) with a current bid at £2500 - strange thing is that the photos in the advert are the same (other than a couple of inside a garage shots) as on the first listing being outside Donnington Park. I can't get the link to paste here though - odd, or just my IT ???

hmmmm... me being very suspicious and full of conspiracy theories  ..... i reckon it didn't sell first time round .... (bid up by a friend scenario), got too greedy, and outbid themselves ..... so now it's back on again.
that would explain the same photo's etc.

It's not ebay's fault it's some of the idiots and chancers that use it. I found it very effective when selling my Guzzi via a classified ad - admittedly only one interested party but he paid the full asking price and seemed very happy. Good value at £20*.

I tried car & classic and forums etc but no real interest.

That’s kind of what I meant really Ian... seems to be more and more of them about than ever before 😡😡
I might possibly go down the classified ad route myself to try and sell my v7 guzzi... wish me luck🤞
Cheers, Michael
