Problem solved (I think)
« on: May 01, 2007, 10:59:49 AM »
Is it possible that the poor running of the SR250 is not a fuel problem but an electrical one?  I gave the bike a thorough inspection today and found the  battery connection that vibrated loose last week and the week before had come loose again.Hence sometimes it runs OK and other times not . I changed the screws and made sure they were very tight. It runs fine now. Surely, after all this trouble, a simple thing like that couldn't be the problem could it?  Tiz too good to be true.

Absolutely! Hope it is that simple.

Don't know much about SR's but Triumph triples certainly get a problem at the battery connection or headstock plug that makes them miss intermitantly. I'm told it's a PITA to find if you don't know about it as you only have the problem when cornering. Many people go looking at carb floats and filler cap breathers first.
