Actually a car problem
« on: April 29, 2007, 03:27:12 PM »
My brother has just bought a tatty Volvo for the tip run. It runs very well when hot but is rough and hesitant when cold. Any thoughts on where to look first?

Cheers

Volvo - probably has 2 Bonnivilles, 3 MZs and an r1 stuck in the air inlet.

Choke system is where I'd look, don't know volvos particularly but it could be a combination type choke not just a cable to a butterfly, eg bimettalic strip, fast idle cam and conventional choke...
of course if it's fuel injection 999 chances out of 1000 it will be a bad earth, but I bet you never find it... :(
