Fitted a 16 tooth sprocket to my XBR and it only just fits, had to redirect cable clip that was in the way. 4500rpm @70 and 5000 @80 which is just nice. Not tried what it will do flat out but I suspect not a lot more than 110 as before on a 14 tooth sprocket as it will run out of horses I suspect.

Well as suggested by a couple of you, there is barely any clearance for a bigger front sprocket, looks like i will keep gearing as it is !  thanks anyway...

Who dares wins. At least you gave it a shot.

Raising the gearing also lowers the rear wheel torque, so will lower the rate of acceleration. As well as any effect it has, good or bad, on top speed.

Not saying one shouldn't do it. Depends entirely on ones preference and priority.

finally got round to changing sprockets, now have a 16 tooth on the front and a 37 on the back, instead of 60 mph at 5650 it now does 68 at the same revs, hardly any difference in acceleration, good enough for now, standard is 15/41  :)
