Dragon Rally

So, it's that time of the year again when we are getting our Rally tickets and making arrangements to get to the Dragon. Last year myself, Simon and Graham ended up at Llanfairfechan. I stayed at the bunkhouse for £10 and they stayed at the local hostelry for £30!
Last week Rick and I went to Ireland and stayed at Platts Farm Bunkhouse, excellent as usual. I had a chat with Sam (who runs the place) and said that I would like to go there again for the Friday before the Dragon. She has now contacted me saying that there are others interested in using the bunkhouse but as I have already expressed an interest in using the place we can get first refusal.

So my question is : Does anyone else want a bunk place in Llanfairfechan for the Friday 6th Feb 2015?

I will contact Sam tonight to say that I have posted, but she has a business to run and I need numbers as soon as possible.

PPS If anyone knows anyone else who can be relied upon to come then I am sure that I can get the whole bunkroom.

As No-one has contacted me to say that they would like to also use the bunkhouse I have tonight mailed them to reserve 4 places which will be Gareth, Graham, Simon M and myself. I was made aware that others are interested in getting accommodation for the same evening so you will have to get in fast if you wish to reserve a place.

Thanks for taking the initiative on this Steve. I thought Llanfairfechan was a cracking little place (even the pub that isn't a pub!) and must admit I was a little envious of your accommodation when we there last time!

Weather arranged, it will either be sunny or raining!

Introduced myself to the small cafe just by the traffic lights and told them that I will contact them with numbers for brekkie.

PS there was another pub further up the road that we didn't get to!

Still no more interest in the bunkhouse at Llanfairfechan so I will be contacting the site early next year to book 4 berths in the bunkhouse.

Made it back safe and sound from this years Dragon rally, although a bit chilly!

Great weekend as always, thanks to Steve D for sorting Fridays accommodation at Platts farm brilliant bunkhouse and its right in the heart of the village, will certainly be visiting there again. Great to catch up with so many people and glad it was back at the water works site bit of a bonus with the weather as well.

Off to put my feet up and be waited on for the rest of the evening.
