Rear spoked xbr wheel
« on: December 06, 2013, 05:40:10 PM »
Hi all, can anyone out there in thumper land help me out? I,m wanting to put a spoked rear wheel into my latest xbr project any suggestions as to a fairly simple swap. I would prefer a disc but a drum will do. Try,d the dominator/slr (vigor) route but they seem to be pretty thin on the ground. Any help or suggestions gratefully accepted.  Cheers all.  Moto63

hi moto63
I have a set of nx650 dominator wheels going spare, they have the dreaded Honda rim rot but the hubs are sound, I figure you could use a dominater swing arm and weld on some lugs for the twin shocks, then you would have to mount the master cylinder some where, maybe not an easy mod but it would look great..

Hi redz79 thanks for the reply, I,m only needing the rear wheel as I've already sorted the front end out. Would you be willing to part with the rear wheel only. Rim condition not an issue as I,m going for 18inch rims and stainless spokes, it was really only the hub I needed. If you,re willing to let the rear go without the front that would be an early Christmas for me as I would be able to progress with my project a little quicker. If you are willing how much would you be looking at for the rear wheel?  Regards moto63

hi moto 63
sure I'd be happy to let the rear wheel go, £20 for it, as I said the rim is scrap, the hub and bearings are fine but no sprocket carrier. I live in Leicester, but if you want it mailed its a heavy item so it would cost plenty , maybe I could cut the spokes and send just the hub.
