XBR 500 Headlamp brackets / ears

A couple of queries on XBR headlamp ear's, if any one has a set off & to hand.
Are they made of alloy & thus polish'able? (if not, what is the metal ?).... what is the diameter of the 'bore' for the fork tube ?... & do they have some sort of integral rubber seal's for gripping the fork tube ?

Hi-

I have a set. They are made of alloy hence polishable. They are 42mm diameter bore to the inside of the alloy. With the rubber insert they are 35 mm (approx)

The ones I have and these on ebay are the earlier type- at around 1987 (E reg) on they have a hole in half way down the side of each to house the later shorter indicators- this was an amendment to house them on these headlamp brackets to stop the indicators flopping about like "a lazy lob on"

I can sell my set for £10 plus postage. Let me know and i'll get a pic on

There you go- i have also dug out the metal stays that go down to the said floppy indicators-
They have the rubber inserts also. As you can see they will polish up fine and have no scratches
