When the squirrel family went to the bacon slicers rally (help me out with dates GC) there was a couple of guys with Ukes. Bloody marvelous entertainment. Kept the kids amused and formed a romantic sound track while Mrs Squirrel and I scoffed doritos 'n' dips  ;D

Ah! Happy, simple days.

Aha, the Bacon Slicer single cylinder rally run by the Guzzi club. What year did you come with your family? I can't bloody remember! Erm... 2005? 2006?  Didn't Simon Morgan convince his wife and daughter to camp out that weekend? (a rare event!).

Turned out the one bloke with the Ukulele knew me from my other persona as a 'Stovie' and reported back on the weekend's events on a camping stove collectors website... I have such a sad life  :D

My eldest daughter got a ukulele for her 15th birthday. It has been impossible to extract it from her delicate hands as she masters its humorous capability. Latest performance was her being the Grinch on stage for a junior school play playing tunes and getting them all to sing along. It's a bizarre image I know, but she brought the house down. Don't underestimate the power of a £15 musical instrument in the right hands...
