Kawasaki carbs on SRX

Steve L's post below got me thinking about this.  There's a model of Kawasaki 250 with twin carbs that will fit on an SRX.  Has anyone any experience with these?   I know they're used in the US, but are they any good for our road conditions ?  Do you need to rejet them?  Is there any advantage over the standard set up?  What happens to responsiveness and MPG?

well, you'd need to know what bore they are, and what make.....if they are proprietry kwakka, then mabe there is a dynojet kit available, if there is, it'll cost anything between 70-100 quid, so you need to ask yourself a few questions about value for money/bang for bucks

I had a set of 250 (GPX 250 i think) carbs on a SRX i bought a couple of years ago. definitely needed re-jetting but were more hassle than they were worth. Very responsive but drank petrol (think 30mpg). diffrent control cables were needed and the piping was a bit of a nightmare to sort out to get it all to fit under the tank. Best off sticking with standard set and working from there.

I have a pair of kwak carbs that came with my SRX and also a raptor inlet manifold with a big flat slide CV think its a 41mm Keihin?..I wont be using them as I have a pair of CR,s for mine. I was thinking of ebaying them all but if anyones interested then give me a shout.
