The bike ran ok at Snetterton (supermono's) & although I didn't qualify to race in the nat/euro round I enjoyed the weekend thoroughly.
One question though?
The exhaust seemed to run a tad hot!
The engine is a old tuned XT640 & the exhaust runs from twin ports for about 3 inches then forms into one pipe of about 3 inch diam. This runs the entire rest of the pipe until a can (aluminium slip on), this was sourced from a firestorm & marked Carbon can co! but definately ally.
When nearly flat out in top passing the start line it went bang! but made no noticable difference to the performance or noise?, on inspection a few laps later I found a sqare shaped hole about the size of 3"x6" blown clean out of the underside.
When I took the can off today It had a rattle, so I shook all the bits out & found that all the fibreglass? packing had turned to solid glass pieces like little glass stones (really wierd?), so I guess it was running a little hot?
WHAT? would cause it to run that hot? (this same pipe ran on my srx620 racing for a year with no problems, before my son trashed it & I salvaged the pipe)
