Honda XL was running OK, easily revving out in top gear, plug chop was OK. Noticed oil breather from crankcase expelling oil, which was handy as I routed it onto the drive chain. Anyway, the thing blew up, conrod and big end bearings turned blue - I guess it was oil pump failure.
Have Honda FT bottom end - going to morph with usable XL parts (magneto, alternator, clutch etc)
Please advise second hand parts availability.
Tried the usual Honda dealers, Dave Silver etc, no joy - parts obsolete.
