XBR chain & sprocket set question

I'm assuming the difference lies in the quality of the sprockets, but M&P are too big to send out mush, aren't they -word would spread?

Both M&P and WEMOTO purport to include the same chain within their kits. Whilst M&P do not describe the make of sprockets in their kit, WEMOTO specify JT Sprockets that I have found to be very good. However, on visiting the DID website it appears that they use JT sprockets when making up their kits. 

So, why or how M&P are able to offer such a price differential from WEMOTO I have no idea. I use both retailers and have not had problems with either and if a product has proved sub-standard or faulty, both have replaced the items without quibble.

I've used both suppliers and found them quibble free if there's a problem.

IIRC the last C & S set I bought for my XBR was around the price quoted by M & P and from that company , although I can't remember the exact spec but it fitted fine and I haven't had to adjust the chain yet in approx 1000 miles.

Had a DID x ring on mine for a long while and it's still got lots of life ( admittedly I don't do as much mileage as I use to). Have used M&P and Wemoto with no problems. Fit a chain oiler.

On an aside -  The DID is supplied with a split link though they advise getting it rivited ( which I did). Considering the XBR is probably only 35-38 BHP is riviting REALLY needed?

Cheers, Steve. In searching the site beforehand, I found the spring link/rivet link issue coming up, so no worries there, ta.
If I could find a place to hide an oiler, I'd have one.

Ya can.... on the shelf in your garage 😉 Then simply use a can of wurth dry chain spray, not the cheapest but excellent stuff with virtually no fling so no messy rear wheel being one upshot. Simply stay on before each ride out, takes literally two mins your chain will last for a good few thousand miles 👍
