After SteveC#222 kindly sent me a Maplin Ignition CDI activated by points, I was going to use it in the Duke 450 rebuild. I still have it and checked it out today and still havering whether to use it!

Been on line and had a look at these two other systems, I know, they are going to cost, but running a Duke on modern 'fuel' may require something a bit different from the old fag paper adjusted points, timed with a bent spoke down the plug hole and stretched springs holding the bob weights in place on the mechanical advance and retard unit!

So, would the electricary literate amongst you care to impart an opinion or wisdom on these two potential ignition systems for the Duke 450 single?
