Nice XBR cafe on YouTube
« on: May 30, 2018, 12:07:43 PM »
Love the build, and sounds great, but I thought a cafe racer is all about weight saving, so how come no 2 into 1?Surprised also to see the cheapo eBay digital Speedo on a quality build! Mine lasted literally dozens of miles (3)!

And yes Matt I agree with your point about the weight saving aspect, I tried to shave a fair bit off when I built mine, whilst still trying to make visually pleasing. That's why I went for two into one zorst, smaller headlight and even went to the expense of having all the starter motor related engine parts removed from the engine and making it kickstart only, oh and a lithium battery. Never actually got the scales out to see exactly how much I'd saved but believe me, if you pick up box of bits that came out of the engine alone..... it's a fair few "bags o sugar" in weight saving. Sadly no more but always nice to see a photo of it... cheers

Nice looking bike. The only thing I`m not sure about is the rear light? A nice polished alloy one may have been better?

Plus generally stronger than a spoked wheel. Lighter too in comparison to a lot of spoked wheels. Again partly the reasoning behind me keeping the comstars on mine when I built it 😢😢😢😢
Going the spoked route on the "tracker" as weight isn't my ultimate goal this time. ENJOYMENT is 👍👍🤘....cheers, Michael

Why 2 breather pipes? Does this mean the tank is split internally or is 1 a backup or something else? Thanks.
