A couple of years ago our govt run MOT centres introduced a straight edge for checking wheel alignment, at the same time as they brought in the rolling road brake test. I only ever saw it being used once.

All the methods of alignment we discussed here were about aligning the two wheels with each other.  However I have just spotted another method on eBay.  A laser light placed on the rear sprocket that shines forward. The aim is to align it with the front sprocket. 

Has anybody tried this method?
