Speedo problem

The replacement speedo on my Skorpion Sport has now packed up, which should stop me buying cheapo Chinese made tat.

Any ideas out there for what to do next?

The original is a 100mm diameter white faced speedo, I'm not sure of the drive ratio.

As my Matchless runs off the rear wheel and is supposedly prone to knackering the speedo drive,I have been looking at electronic speedos that work off a magnet on a disc bolt,They re-calibrate to your wheel rotation,So no messing about ... come in digital dash or the "old school"  style with a needle , Reasonable ones like Koso etc.vary from £65/70 to £200.

Cheap Option for Cheap Bikes is a bicycle speedo. Magnet goes on spoke, pickup goes on fork, do the maths to calibrate it and away you go.

We have a place that recycle bicycles and bits, they sell used ones for a couple of quid!!

Not an MOT failure remember, soredo comes under Construction and Use regs.

PUCA were meant to be visiting today as they were passing through Lampeter - but never showed up.

I already have a bicycle style one but of course it doesn't have a backlight so not much use at night.

I also have to be particularly well behaved when it comes to Construction and Use Regs because 1. I'm honest like that and 2.  Work frowns very very heavily on that sort of thing.

I have narrowed down a new original speedo in Germany for a bit over £200.
