Skorpion Sport Clip Ons

Lovely bike, great single cylinder engine, but the clip ons are just a wee bit low for my aging back.

Any ideas as to how to raise them say 1 1/2" without breaking the bank ?

They are already at the top of the fork leg and any height has to be offset to ensure it clears the fairing brace rods above.

Helibars have been mentioned but the price is offputting.

Tarozzi make a variety of raised, adjustable clip ons. Disco volante sells them. Flat racer used to sell them but I'm not sure now. They are around £100 I think.

I've seen some Chinese made cnc raised, adjustable clip ons on e bay. Look very nice and cheap, but my big worry with those is that there are two joints per bar and with the leverage I'd be concerned about them moving. Maybe you could modify them although there looks to be little material.

Ta, I'd forgotten about the Tarrozis, despite fitting them to a Cagiva many years ago.

They look promising.

Had a better look and the Tarozzis won't work - the rise is pretty much straight above the fork and will foul the fairing mounting.

Blimey, you don't ask much.

Looks a bit like on a gpz500. I have a spare set but you'd have to adapt em to top yoke. It's a long shot for sure.

Won't it be easier to put bars where you want em and then modify the fairing frame?

Well I think I'll bite the bullet and go for the Chinese Clip ons m ost likely to work.

The fairing would be a mighty fiddle to get right and have it look half tidy.
