On the left hand side you can set the location and in the top right hand corner you can select the display to be a 1940's OS Map.

Very interesting, thanks for posting that.
Funnily enough I picked up a nice old cloth Bartholemews map of North Wales in an antique shop in Solva the other day, I love old maps.

Shows what those close-together brown lines mean
GC: I have a Bartholomew's one inch map of the Lake District on cloth, cost 6 shillings when new, a long while ago, very expensive it must have been!
