Well, I had my SRX 600 head done here http://www.cylinderheadshop.co.uk/

for £200 the ports were opened up and polished, the seats replaced and valves profiled, guides replaced and flowed in with profiled ports. all in all i think i got value for money....been done 4 years now, no problems.

another 400 engine depends which works out cheapest...i need bike back on road as soon as because i tend to use it as my winter ride.  Once i have the engine out i will be able to see what the problems are with it

I've heard varying reports about The Cylinder Head Shop, both good and shall we say 'not so good ?', in fact I know one very well respected midlands competition dealer who would not entertain giving this establishment any further business.
