Accomodation near Cwmbran

Hi all
My son has gained an apprenticeship in aero/space engineering with Lufthanssa in Cwmbran.Do any of you know of any reasonable(cheap) accommodation(room,digs,flat share etc)near to Cwmbran.He still has his NSR125so he can travel a bit.

Second question does a bike need indicators for the MOT? If not how much of them need removing to comply.We are still checking out the circuit but removal may be the answer as MOT is due soon.

Indicators - technically the whole lot needs to be removed - wiring and all - but most MOT people will consider just the indicator bodies being removed as OK.  HOWEVER - my Jawa failed its MOT due to not having indicators - I suggested that they were being a bit harsh being as only the switch and the wire were there - even the relay had died and been thrown in the bin and I was informed that all bikes registration prefix D and onwards must be fitted with indicators.  Dunno if this is true or if the MOT station had misread the rules.  Have to say that these were the people who regulaly passed my Triton for me  whereas other places used to go white at the idea of it (nothing wrong with it from a safety point of view but was originally built when I was on the dole so had some interesting features) and also suggested that I ride the Triton to within pushing distance of the shop and then disable it and push it to the MOT - that way they could not fail it for being too noisy being as it did not run- oh and they also failed the RD500 for loose spokes (he he he) I have the failure cert somewhere.

So I guess a lot depends on the MOT station.
