Universal silencer inner pipes for XBR?

I have took the angle grinder to my said XBR original silencers and downpipes- (see pics uploaded- these are not the really nice pipes i have just bought!!)

The downpipes aren't too bad an should be able to get someone to neatly weld up/ patch now they are mig weldable as i am back to decent metal

Re silencers- I have cut out all the rust and waggled out all the inner bits (which had broken anyway). I have cut a rectangle out of each silencer (again back to decent metal) to get the crap out and I am going to get 2 chrome panels from another donor silencer and get someone to hopefully neatly weld it in- it's all underneth so shouldn't really be seen. (My welding is for the totally unseen only)

I was hoping to get hold of 2 univeral lengths of silencer inner pipe? The inner pipe would be about 1.25" and about 16" long with holes in to run the full length of the silencer. I was then going to get some repack fibre like stuff off EvilBay.

Does anyone know anyone who sells inner pipe lengths?    

Do you think this would be ok and not balls up how the bike runs?

You should be able to get the perforated tube from ebay here- clicky as a 1m length, and then cut down to what you require. If you are replacing a staggered baffle system with this absorption baffle, your bike WILL be louder. You should be able to get the fibre glass exhaust packing from any good motorcycle shop, especially ones that deal with MX bikes and the like. Wear gloves!!!

I asked Motad if they could sell a general piece of perforated pipe and they said "we don't do xbr parts now"

Where are you based anyway Simmo? I only ask as I have a tig welder, and can patch up exhausts as long as they are not too badly gone. If you are nearby and wanted to drop them off then I'd be happy to look.

I'm Derby way-

I have been chatting to a mate and he thinks it would be better to get someone to braze them so the weld does not go rusty or discolour the chrome (if poss)
