I Think the SRX is 'overbraked' if anything.....once the standard brakes are set up correctly....I always fit braided hoses, and at the front i use 2 different types of pad, sintered and standard, one of each in each side (using all sintered i find just too sharp, especially in the wet)

I have seen that mon fitted to an srx.....obviously works well, and looks pretty

Assumming you have a late 400 twinshock or monoshock it should fit. The one-piece construction of the R1 caliper should make it more resistant to flex so assumming the total piston area sizes is the same, you should have less travel at the master cyclinder. Worth checking the piston sizes though.
I used to think one caliper was much the same as another untill I swapped the Grimeca caliper on my Skorpion for a Brembo and was pleasantly surprised at the difference it made.

Well that must be the best and cheapest upgrade ever!!! £35 delivered with good pads. It was so easy to bleed aswell. I have bled many calipers before including a set of billet-6 calipers for my gpz900r and non have been so easy. that and it looks good too. There is less movement in the lever but there is so much more feel. only problem now is the back is sticking!!!
