Aye Michael,
A bonnie wee beastie, but a bit over tarted for my liking in that example.

Ducati-scrambler-motorcycle-lineageWhen I purchased my 450 MKIII in '76 there were large numbers of scrambler 250, 350 and 450 widecase machines sitting at Coburn & Hughes in Luton, as they had the concession for the make at the time, Vic Camp having sold up to John "Witty" Wittman, leaving the concession up for grabs. However, the scramblers were a slow seller over here, compared with Germany and France. The MKIII being more popular in the UK and some scramblers were broken for spares, whilst many were either made into race bikes, or shipped by the container load out to Japan for their niche market.
For information to all Ducati singles owners, Nigel Lacey has sold his Ducati singles spares business to Mdina Italia, who are cornering the market in Italian spares, and there will be a hiatus in spares availability whilst stocks are catalogued, transferred and then brought to market, using the Lacey's website, but re-branded as Mdina Italia. The Lacey's will be in the background in an "Advisory capacity" and Nigel will be continuing with his Ducati engineering work. I await to see what the price hikes are, as for some Ducati twin items, the Australian/New Zealand suppliers are cheaper than Mdina Italia, in spite of the P&P, import duties and VAT! The Antipodean quality is also up to a good standard and better than the majority of the current Italian/Indian/SE Asian output. Caveat emptor!!!
Put the miles under the wheels and wear them out, Bill
