Mystery Object #3
« on: August 26, 2020, 10:02:29 PM »
Hi folks!
Just bought a VAN LOAD of non-thumper spares (for my CX illness), but there are a few alien items in there, kncluding a very good set of Craven 3-piece luggage with all the frames and hardware.

Ok, last one tonight - it could be anything, part number has faded. BUT given the carb mani is R.E., I thought it worth a shot; shame to chuck new pads.
XBR500,  FT500 (USA reg still but now starts/runs nicely!)
non-thumpers CX500EC, NTV650P

Looks similar to these pads in this link: Hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/partsbook-pages/2376

BUT, importantly yours do not appear to have the hook on the outer pad, as shown in the parts diagram as #7. So may have been bought in error for a RE!  :-\

Maybe a look at Kyoto catalogue, but a bit of a wild goose chase!

Cheers, Bill

Cheers  Bill - not unlikely! There is a used set like this and some pins which I binned as non-CX, I'll look for the hook.
