Can I Still Be In This Club With A Stroker?
« on: February 22, 2020, 12:18:59 PM »
Well I'm just planning what to do with the Honda H100 which I've just bought. It's a single so presumably it's a thumper and can be admitted?

Shhhh, don't tell anybody! I've got two Jawa 350 2T twins and no singles at at all, but I don't think anybody's noticed yet.  ;)

When I had my 250 single two stroke CZ I used to claim that as it fired every stroke it was just a condensed 500 four stroke single. Anyway I've always thought the thumper in thumper club is sometimes more about the attitude of the owner rather than a strict formula for a bike. At least I hope it is as I am likely to be on Henry Honda my CBF500 twin for the annual rally.

Have great fun with the H100 and hopefully see you around.

Thanks to posters..........Some oldies may remember the criticism of 2 stroke emissions as far back as the 70's.I'm all for protecting our planet but it's so hard to separate the propaganda from the truth. I don't intend doing too many miles on m stinkwheel anyway. It's intended as a project to work on rather than ride thus hopefully keeping me out of trouble...........

I have a completely clear conscience about running my two Jawas tbh. With modern fully synth 2T, they are practically smoke free, and in some respects, NOx emissions particularly, they're much better than any 4T. If you also factor in the environmental consequences of manufacturing a car against a smallish bike, then I think its a no contest, particularly as the bike us likely to last at least twice as long as a car before it needs to be re-manufactured.

I think you should both plant a few trees, just to be on the safe side  ;D
