Title: Twingle!
Post by: themoudie on October 09, 2022, 10:02:08 PM
I am cut and pasting this from a Facebook group, rather than giving a link, as I know some of you don't like dabbling or getting involved in "social media".

" The Twingle as its affectionately known is a T100a 500 Triumph that has been taken out to 580cc. The cams have been re profiled so that both cylinders fire together to run like a single.
It's running 14-1 compression on methanol, high output oil pump, Interspan Twin spark ignition. The bike also has a V5 so it could easily be returned to standard for use on petrol and put on the road.
The bike was ridden successfully by Joe Maxwell and his son Scott.  Also my father Mike Barnes campaigned this at the Bonanza where Triumph development engineer John Giles had a test ride on it as he was the original  man to come up with this concept.
All enquiries and for more information please contact Joe Maxwell on 07836209886 or email joe@joemaxwell-engineering.com"

OH! It is for sale! (I have no connection.)

Good health, Bill

Hello Bill,

That's one interesting bike. Must look up more info on the whole concept. I would buy it, but, I would have to rob a Post Office and I can't run as fast as I used to. Also more than a bit short of the skill level required to ride such a machine. Nice to dream though, maybe if my name was Arthur Lampkin or John Banks........ ::)

Ron.
