Ogri's bike, if I'm not mistaken, but this one is, "Not intended to be driven". Ye gods!

Aye mthee,
Thank you for posting the link, lovely bit of kit and I suspect their old man is turning in his grave that it isn't being given wellie on a track every weekend, rather than touring shops etc.
I post the full quote:
This motorcycle is not intended to be driven. For the moment, she is going around stores, motorcycle shows, or museums. However, it works very well! We turn it on regularly.
As for "works very well". Ballcocks! It only "works" when being ridden, not when you "Turn it on"!
Good health, Bill

Criminal really that such a purposeful bike is relegated to being a show pony. Be a bit like a monk marrying 7 of 9 from Star Trek!

Agree with all the above - it's hard to know where to start.. How about: "Fortunately, Franck works in the motorcycle industry, running a communications firm for riders" - ie not a rider at all. No doubt an "influencer".
-
My immediate thought was that he worked for a helmet intercom company...🙉
-
Beautiful machine and shameful it's not being ridden!

I did leave a "Comment" on the web page, albeit more polite than that which I left in this thread and also provided a Google "French" translation. So far no response.
However, a German gentleman left this as part of his comment "Thanks for featuring this piece of art here!" ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
These Continentals!
Off to do some spannering! ;)

Hopefully followed by some riding Bill 😉👍👍
Have a safe, good run out

Aye Michael,
No mention of "riding" the beastie!
Shares in Solvol etc!
OH! A repost to the adjacent thread post. :o
Are you not going to finish that XBR tracker afore lashing the cash on a Himalayan boulder crusher? ;) (Cheeky bu&&er!) ;D

The main problem I have Bill (if I can really call it a problem 🤦???) is that even tho our house build is almost complete, having literally consumed my life for the last 4 years, is that my garage and an workshop areas are still loaded to the hilt with building stuff. So until I get time to completely clear things out I’m a tad restricted as to what I can do regarding the XBR tracker project. Where as simply messing with what would ultimately be a finished bike in an Himalayan I could probably manage with the space I have. Plus I really fancy something that will plod along nicely with big bro on his Enfield.
Can’t see it taking that much work to get that kind of look with an Himalayan. 🤷???🤔🤔
I’ve not made a concrete decision as yet but definitely fancy having a go on one.
Cheers, Michael

Still in housebuilding mode, eh Michael?😁 Fair play, 4 years after all.

Oh... very sharp, there again I didn’t expect anything less. I just keep telling myself “it’ll be worth it in the end” 👍🤞🤦???

Hi Michael
There's a Jewish saying that 'if a problem can be solved with money it's a cost not a problem'. Maybe your garage full of building stuff problem could be turned into a cost by paying a young nephew/niece/neighbour to empty it?
I know that is probably silly, but I'm going out in 10 minutes and had nothing better to do.

Aye Spartacian,
Michaels probably muttering "Get on your hos and drink yer milk!" ::) after John Wayne! :o :o ;D

I totally get what you’re saying Ian, eerr spartacian 🤦???. However, because the build isn’t quite finished I still need a lot of what is piled up in there. I’m hoping that by the end of summer’ish I should have the inside totally complete just leaving the outside to do. At that point I can safely get rid of whatever is left in there, leaving nothing but lovely space....to fill with bike related items 😉😉👍
Oh and defo a lathe. Roll on autumn I say 🤦???🤦???🤪
Ps.... I pay a decent day rate if you fancy riding up and giving me a hand once it’s ready for the BIG clear out 😉💵💵
Cheers, Michael

That sounds like an invite for a garage party! :-X

You’re more than welcome to ride down anytime Bill, regardless of the garage clear out. Show you some nice decent roads in and around the yorkshire dales and the trough of bowland 👍👍

Hey what a great idea, a garage party clearing out stuff and a ride out. I've ridden out with Michael, Andy and their mates and let me say it is a brilliant day out. If this comes off count me in, even if the Mighty Midget may struggle pulling me uphill against Yorkshire's finest gravity!

Yeah.. let’s somehow make this happen at some point before summer is out. Oh and don’t worry I’ll clear the garage out myself. 👍
