Title: National Motorcycle Museum anyone?
Post by: Itsme on February 28, 2022, 09:44:06 AM
Hi all

I've never been to the NMM even though I once set out to get there and couldn't find it! I was thinking that there are a few of us who live within a sensible distance of the NMM and I owe Mr Soady a cuppa so how about a TC meet there sometime when the weather is more reliably clement?

I'm not thinking of anything formal just a group of blokes meeting for a natter and perhaps some lunch.

Let me know if there's interest.

It's not far from me so I could be interested but amd something of a softy these days so would depend on weather / inclination. Then again I'm something of a misanthrope so maybe better if I don't go......

Hi Ian

Misanthropic, but very honest and self-aware! I was thinking of later in the year as like you I find a cold day's riding less appealing these days than ever. Maybe June time? I thought it worth raising as an idea as it gives something to look forward to.

I don't claim to be a misanthrope, but when people have been talking of social-distancing I have replied 'don't worry I was born socially distant'.

I'll be away most of June (hopefully!) but maybe late May / early July? Any other takers or else you and I will just have to glower & grunt at each other......

I could be interested depending on the date.
I went with Mrs XB when it first opened. You can tell how long ago that was (1980's IIRC) as she rarely comes with me these days to any bike venues and certainly not on the back of my bike.

Hi Gents

I suppose the first thing to sort is when? Late May or early June? Let me know which you prefer and also whether you prefer a weekday or a weekend. We'll take it from there.

Unfortunately weekdays not the best for me but I’ll see what I can do a bit nearer the time 🤞🤞

I'd like to join in, Friday better for me. My daughter gave me a ticket as a pressie before the pandemic took hold. I bet I will have to pay this time (😂). This could be an "Ian" day out 👍🏍👍

I have the ananual membership so can go any time I like - but haven't visited since you know what.... The membership is worth while as it gets you into events like ride a bike day, and also I get a free BMS photocopy manual every year.
