Hi all, after much deliberation and having been hounded by Morton's I have booked a club stand for the October show. Not sure on the size of stand but I have suggested 6 bikes.
Usual rules apply, anyone showing a bike gets a free weekend pass to the show and free camping. Refreshments will be provided by me! It's more about having a presence at the show and not necessarily the quality of bikes on the stand, I say that in a:polite way, it's more about variety.
Please could you let me know:as soon as possible if your interested in exhibiting.

Hi Gareth, I think I still qualify by owning a 4 stroke single. So yes I'm up for attending along with said bike. Come on lads/lassies let's go and have a good time. You know you want to 😁
-
What’s involved in putting a bike on the stand? Does it have to be for two days or can it be for just one? What time does it need to be there for in the morning? I’m just thinking out loud. Eric
-
Hi Eric. The bikes have to be in the hall on Friday evening, and you can't remove them until 5pm on the Sunday. Its always a good weekend, but I am not sure if I'll make it this year yet.
-
Hi Gareth yet again I THINK I will have the tracker club stand worthy by then. I've finally tracked (see wot I did there 😁) down someone who is going to CNC my yokes up for me. Hopefully getting them done in August. So yes please once again put my name down for the weekend. May even be able to talk big bro round to bringing along his MIGHTY Enfield 😁👍
Cheers.. Michael
-
well im definately up for this, depends if you want any of my bikes though, couple of bsa's or the wifes little katana-ised gs125, its a great weekend and ive always enjoyed it.
-
You are running out of excuses Michael!! Im sure youll be able to bring something...finished or not!
Knew we could rely on you John, bring whatever takes your fancy....the bigger the better (So Im told!!)

Not sure whether they can be only taken in for 1 day, i know they can be taken in early on the Sturday but not sure if you can take them out at the end of the day, i will make some enquiries.

Shame if you cant make it. Im sure bikes can be brought in before the show opens on the Saturday morning, but they are then there for the 2 days.

Brilliant Gareth... thanks for "keeping the Faith "... Ian one thing I will DEFO bring down is the jelly babies 😁😁👍.... rest assured I will be bringing that bloody "tracker" even if I have to throw the original yokes n forks back into it.. looking forward to it already 👍👍.. Cheers Michael

Not many spaces left....its got to be worth coming even if just for Gareth`s (world famous) sarnies!!

Yes it’s not practical or realistic for me for that duration

Is there anyone else who would like to show their bike on the club stand in October? We could do with 2 or 3 more bikes if possible!!
-
mate of mine has a 1988 factory ccm 500 that competed in the paris dakar, still bearing its race numbers and patina, i can ask if we could borrow it?
-
What about Norman, propeller??....defo turn a few heads and DEFO get the flat cap brigade muttering under their breath. Pretty sure I could squeeze another bike next to the tracker in the backo mi van.
-
"Pretty sure I could squeeze another bike next to the tracker in the backo mi van."
Michael, does this mean you are coming with a bike this year :o ::) ;D
-
Ooohh, yes I'll be there come hell or high water. With a bike. 😉😉🤘

Thanks guys, the more the merrier!

The list of exhibitors so far
Me
Ian
Mike P possibly 2 bikes
John R possibly 2 bikes
Much appreciated if Mike & John could bring 2 bikes, however it would be good to have a couple more exhibitors instead of them having to lug 2 bikes to the show.
-
Evening Gareth, if I do bring two bikes there will be two of us. Myself and big bro propeller. He's unfortunately gotta go have an op soon. So think he was going to how he felt once he'd got out of hospital.
Cheers Michael
-
I might bring the Himilaya. Just not sure if I can make it yet though :-\
-
I am prepared to have my Norton/Goldstar on the stand but would require a trailer to take it. Any offers Hertfordshire area?

It would be great if you could make it, no pressure, but there will be space if you can.
-
Tickets have arrive, woo hoo! Still room for more bikes!!!
The stand is in the same location as last year, main a hall on the balcony.
Look forward to catching up with TC members.
Gareth

Yes me too mate, looking forward to getting down and catching up with you chaps. As I say hopefully big bro will be in tow. Hopefully with "Norman" (his mighty Enfield innit😁😁) ... cheers, Michael
-
I can't make any promises so please don't rely on me fellahs. I'm just focussing on one hurdle at a time. On the motorcycle front my main ambition is to get back in the saddle and riding.
-
All the best and good luck.
-
Looking forward to seeing friends old and new at the show.
Ian 😁
-
Would the Moto 6.5 fit in? I might be available and if so for the full weekend. If you already have enough for the stand no probs.
-
Motomic, it would be nice to see you again. I'm sure Gareth would be able to squeeze you in. How about it Gareth?

Of course we'd have room, it would be a pleasure. If you're up for it, let me know and i'll reserve a slot.

no ticket as yet gareth, sent you a pm.
-
Hope to meet up with you guys again.
-
Just looked at the show plan in MCM. Looks like I have changed my name and got a different bike! Apart from that it's perfect 🤔😲.
Have you sent the tickets out Gareth?
-
Well, it looks like we will only have 3 maybe 4 bikes on the stand, pretty sparse, but i am wiling to attend, soooooooooo is there ANYONE else who would be interested in putting a bike on the stand for the weekend?
Gareth
-
Come on boys and girls, Gareth has put a lot of effort into getting us a stand. It's the least we can do to make a bit of effort ourselves. I do realise that it's not everyone's bag and not all can make it but it is an enjoyable weekend.
Ian 🙄
-
Thanks Ian,
Whatever happens we'll be there, will post you ticket on next week.

Unfortunately I've had to pull out of taking my tracker project bike to Stafford. It's mainly for personal reasons. I am gutted as I was genuinely looking forward to getting together with everyone for the weekend. My apologies go to Gareth (plus anyone else) as I realise the amount of organising that must go into sorting the weekend.
Cheers, Michael
-
i can put the m21 and thee c15 in the van if you want mate, theres nothing spectacular about them, but theyre bikes that get ridden and used, and have the required number of cylinders!
-
Sorry but I've not got any singles at the moment, so I can't help with the stand. I may still nip across for the day.
Trevor

Thanks anyway Trevor, be good to have a catch up.

Aye Gareth,
Transport sorted for 2 machines. Will text you before arrival on Friday, 18th pm to arrange single ticket pick-up. Thanks for advice.
Good health, Bill
P.S. Request from a friend up here "If you see a big Vinnie for less than £20 that'd be nice.........." ;D Chancer! ::)
-
That great news, see you next week.
-
Arrived home safe and sound if a bit wet 🌧️😟. Hope everyone else gets home safely, especially Bill with his long journey northwards. So good to catch up with Gareth, Grahame & John. Lovely to meet up with Bill first time. As usual a good time was had by all and lots of like minded folk came visit, buy stuff, or just talk and ogle at our eclectic mix of bikes. Special thanks to Gareth for all his hard work and his excellent sarnies which went a bundle. Look forward to April for the new(ish) venture. Cheers Ian 🙂
PS mustn't forget all the TC members who put in an appearance over the weekend. Thanks.
-
Sounds like you all had a good weekend, truly sorry I couldn't make it down, not even just as a mere show goer. Absolutely GUTTED that I missed out on Gareth's bacon sarnies 😢, oh and the jelly babies Ian. Hopefully be back on track for next year. Is there going to be a TC stand in April??.. cheers, Michael
-
There seems to be interest in a stand for April, so I will contact Morton's and see if we can get in.
-
That'd be good Gareth, if it's a thumbs up from the powers that be keep me posted.
Cheers, Michael

Another great weekend at Stafford, great to catch up with Ian, John and to meet Bill. All great company and good to meet other TC members over the weekend.
Thanks for your efforts with bringing 2 bikes each John & Bill, it would be good to have more members coming forward to show bikes if at all possible!
I will keep you all posted regards the April show.
Take care all.
