Title: fierce brake
Post by: spooky on June 13, 2019, 09:31:04 PM
I have a little 125cc two stroke (gilera) with a really good brembo disc on the front, in fact it is too good, is there any way to make it a little less fierce ? it can lock up very easily on damp surfaces and at the minute that`s all we have up here, i haven`t had a chance to try it on dry roads yet,

Aye Rufus,

Organic pads rather than metallic pads, or one of each in the caliper. This is a suggestion, not a recommendation! ;)

When you go scratching with it, you may wish to revert to metallic pads both sides?

Good health, Bill

Spooks... I can't believe you've overlooked the obvious. Just spray plenty of WD40 onto the disc face. Defo be less fierce then 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ps... I AM JOKING

Those will be the blue, diamond-shaped pads - tricky to get hold of, but strong performance and a great feel at the lever guaranteed!  ;D

whats your tyre like? it may be that the wheel locks easily because the tyre lacks grip? try fitting something stickier to it if its an old tyre.
