In the last 10 days my Dommi slow jet has blocked 3 times.this makes it very hard to ride or even keep running below 4000rpm. on the first time I just cleaned it and it was ok for about 100 miles The second time I cleaned it again and also the Filter in the fuel tap and the one on the pipe from the tank going into the tank. Now today on the way to work its blocked again. After putting this problem on another group it was suggested to try carb cleaner. Done this with quiet a srtong dose and on the way home it cleared. For about 3 miles. On these there is little room to fit an in line filter without making it look a bit rough.
So any ideas please before I put a match to it
Was hoping to make the Wetton meet but at this rate it looks unlikley
Thanks Ken

Can you see what is blocking the jet? ie rust, water etc. If rust then I would guess an inline filter is needed - as the cheaper option to cleaning and sealing the tank. There are some prety anodised filters out there to make a feature of, Or cheap plastic ones for about £1.50. I would prefer rough looking and running to perfect and dead. Mind I seem to achieve rough looking and dead...

Just removed the carb again. Got it down to 20 min now. I was unable to see through the jet but not able to see whats in it. I am certain the carb is spotless when i rebuild it. I have fitted a Dynojet kit about 3 months ago and with it you get a shield that goes in the venturi. This shield goes over the needle jet and is bonded on. Now in my kit the bond stuff had gone hard so i used an epoxy resin. i was wondering if this could find its way down into the float chamber if the petrol is dissolving it. You would think any bits that came from it would go straight into the intake. Anyway i have removed the shield and all the resin and will try one more time. Just one thing when you look through the jet and its only a size 48 the jet hole looks like a star and not round. Would you think this is a design thing or a bur?????
Any thoughts still welcome.

More than likely full of crap !
Should be round.
But there again is it the standard(round) or DynoJet which Might be,but dont think so,designed that way.
