I now have an answer,

Trussed, Julian?
I'd have thought it would be OK, for what was an Italian race series machine. May be a bit cramped for doing more than 100 miles in one go.

I guess so, there was one for sale fairly local and cheap, but given I currently have 2 non runners....

OOOOOeerrrrr! I know the feeling! ;)
Also, may I add, because of the alloy beam frame, plastics etc, getting into the motor to do any maintenance is a nightmare and you need Japanese size hands, along with the order of construction to either pull it apart or put it together! ;) I know they were Italian built, but its the design and "weight centralisation" that causes the grief.

Once you had the tank off access was fairly good. I am 5'8" on a good day and found it a bit cramped. I padded the seat and fitted GSXR750 bars. Vibtaring footrests sent my feet to sleep.
Huge amount of fun but for me it didnt have the character of an SRX.
