I attended this yesterday, along with 60,000 other people, and have to say, it was worth every penny of the £29 entrance fee. Huge amount of interesting static displays as well as the fantastic flight displays. Apologies, as I should have posted it on here as a meet up, but only went at the last minute. Maybe next year? And we could stay at my place just down the road, or camping nearby.

Did you go around the museum too Tim?

No mate, there wasnt anywhere near enough time. I was there from 10:30 till 6pm, and still didnt see all the stuff that had been laid on for the day! I have been before though, and its a great place. Now only ten miles from me, so if anyone fancies a visit, and wants to stop over, no problem :)

I'd have gone, but it was my Wedding Anniversary so went away with the Mrs instead.
We stopped at an excellent B & B about a mile down the valley from Bishops Castle and had an excellent weekend including walking a section of the Offa's Dyke path. :)

Great area Pete. I love Bishops Castle, and have probably walked that section of Offas Dyke in the past :)

Yes, it's a fantastic area isn't it? The Shropshire Hills must be the best kept secret in the country!

Unless you live here! ;)
My only gripe with the Air Show is how the traffic is managed getting in (and out). Then the excuses start..... ::)
