Just a quickie. Started up the Skorpion yesterday after recharging the flat battery :-\ I was letting it tick over for a while, and after about 10 mins or so, I heard like a whistle sound and then the fan kicked in? I switched the bike off and after about 30secs the fan stopped. After another 10secs or so, with the bike off the fan started again and ran for a further 30secs or so?
Surely, if the bike was only ticking over for around 10mins, the fan shouldn`t have come on? Seemed to get hot quick? I checked the water level this morning, when cold, and it was to the brim (probably too much water?) Any ideas folks, does it sound right to you Skorp owners out there?
Don`t know what the whistling noise was??
Cheers.

if its the bike in the pic and has a fairing then i imagine the heat could build up quickly, and the fan isnt indicating its overheated, its just doing what it does.

Thanks johnr, yes it is the bike pictured and I`d not thought of that :-\
Cheers. ;)

I've never noticed my fan/s come on, but the bike has a naked engine.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm sure I've heard that some travllers do run hot . I had the sport model a few yrears ago and the fan did used to come a fair bit but not that soon from what I recall but that was only half faired. Maybe ask on the MZ riders facebook group - there's a few folk on there that have Skorpions.

I had a Sport too, I don`t remember it coming on, on that? I`ve asked on FB too, so I`ll see what comes back. Thanks for your input.
EDIT;
I`m on the MZ forum too, and it appears to be the "norm" on the Travellers .... happy days.
