Yep, he's up to his usual interesting stuff. On Chan 4 at 8pm tonight ;)

The thing I don't get about this programme is the way Guy was in awe of the pit crew, when surely they should have been in awe of all the things he has achieved :-\
Given the opportunity, and practice, pretty much anyone could be part of of that pit crew, including even me. But only an exceptionally talented person could have done all the stuff Guy has done :-\

With you on that one Tim. Any fitish person could have done the wheel off stuff. It would have been far more interesting if they'd spent longer showing him working on the car after its prang, but I guess that would be too technical for the average viewer. Still entertaining stuff though...

Agreed (although haven't seen the programme yet).
I suppose part of the programme makers' art is to make whatever is going on "interesting". I just hope Guy doesn't go the way of other specialists and become a general purpose TV "personality" - or even worse a "celebrity".

I don't think so, I know he suffers from a form of Asbergers Syndrome and hates crowds and attention - he's OK with a small team, but it's why he use to shun the IoM TT press conferences. I haven't met him but I know a few who have and they say he is a genuine humble bloke, what you see on tv is what the man is like in reality. Makes a refreshing change from the 'reality' tv crowd.

Yes, and he will only work with the same people from the same TV company, and only agrees to make programmes on subjects that genuinely interest him ;)

Good to hear. I must say I've enjoyed all the programmes he's appeared in.

I think I'm right in saying that his 'fee' for the 'Our Guy in India' series was a bl00dy great tractor! ( which he was planning to hire out at harvest time). Don't think a lot of celebs would have done that.

As i am a fan and have had no tv or internet access over the last month can someone tell me what programme this was so i can try to find it on catch up please?
-
If you search for Speed with Guy Martin you should find it. Or just google that & it should give you time & place.

Thanks Ian.
